Defqon.1 has been a major part of Menno’s photography journey for years. After first attending the festival as a visitor in 2010, he returned as a photographer in 2016 and later became head of photography, working with and coordinating a team of photographers across the event.
The focus is on documenting the full Defqon.1 experience: large-scale stage production, artist performances, crowd energy, emotional moments and the visual details that define the festival. The resulting imagery is used across marketing, editorial and social media to communicate the scale and atmosphere of the event.
